About

The only one of its kind on the planet, Pedal America is an American travel television series that uses storytelling to encourage everyday people to go for a ride.

When more people ride, our air has fewer particulates and that helps to keep water clean.

Clean water is essential for healthful hydration and sustaining the communities and regions Pedal America visits. Our stories for next season show the relationships between local bodies of water and the residents who rely on them for health and economic prosperity.

The series also introduces viewers to breathtaking vistas in national and state parks, urban cities, historic townships, and adventurous mountain bike trails.

Each episode educates viewers on the history of a region’s expanding bicycle culture and infrastructure, and opportunities for safe riding. We do this because bicycling enhances quality of life.

Ira David is the series' creator, executive producer, and on-air host.
